Before you start

  • You are signed in to your Allen account.
  • You have an active subscription.

Follow these steps

Open IG Search

In your sidebar, click IG Search under the AI Marketing section.

You should see: You see the IG Search page with a search input and three tabs: Profile, Keyword, and Hashtag.

Choose a search type

Pick the tab that matches what you want to find. Use Profile to search by username or profile link. Use Keyword to search by topic. Use Hashtag to search by hashtag.

You should see: The selected tab is highlighted and the input placeholder updates to match.

Enter your search and run it

Type a username, profile URL, post link, keyword, or hashtag into the search field. For example: natgeo. Then click the Search button.

You should see: Allen starts fetching data. After a moment, results appear below the search field.

Review results

For profile searches, you'll see a profile card with follower count and bio, plus a grid of recent posts sorted by engagement. You can sort posts by likes, comments, or views. Click any post to see its details.

Common questions

Can I search for my own profile?
Yes. Enter your own Instagram username and Allen will analyze your posts the same way.
What happens after I search?
Allen saves the search and generates recommendations. You can view them on the Recommendations page.
How many searches can I do?
Check your plan limits in Settings > Billing. Each search uses credits.
